No One Is Coming to Save You
Yep! That's right. No one is coming to save you. It might be a difficult pill to swallow, but it's true. Only you can save yourself. Just like only you can give the love you need to yourself. As is if you are bored... All of them are on you. This then boils down to the concept of radical responsibility. Which every human being should be practicing. Wow, the world would be a better place if we all were.
So if you are not happy in your life, you need more money, you are in a bad relationship, it is your responsibility to get yourself out of it. You have to find a solution and you have to take action. By not taking action we do not get closer to the ideal life, the dream, the goal.
Sure friends and family can help, but that's just in a pinch or a short-term solution. It's not a long-term fix. You have to take action towards the long-term goal. That takes responsibility. That takes radical acceptance of yourself. Truth. Self awareness. And above all that takes courage. We cannot continue to live in fear of our truth. The world needs our authentic selves. Not half baked superficialities.
So let's take radical responsibility and form the positive daily habits of taking action towards our dream. Because no one is coming to save us. And we are responsible for where we are at in our lives. We owe it to ourselves and to the world. We must show up every day, authentically, and give ourselves wholeheartedly and share our gifts.
Just one small step. That's all it takes to pivot. It's really that simple. Don't over-think it. That's all it takes to enact, fundamental laws of physics– those in motion stay in motion and for every action there's a reaction. Take that step, that action, and watch it unfold. And don't for get to keep going. We learn more through our failures than our success. So fail early and fail often. Failing forward is the key to success. And it's our responsibility to have fun doing it!
